Job Hunting

Unnnnnggggg! This job hunting thing is really starting to get to me. I got laid off in November and haven't gotten ANY replies to the about hundred or so resumes I've sent out except for the following:

- One interview as an eye care technician, but I didn't get the job.
- A call from Vector Marketing, which turns out to be CUTCO KNIVES.
- A reply for a mystery shopper job at 2am in poor English. I grew suspicious, and a short Google search later revealed it was a money order scam. fjkalfhal GODDAMNIT!

Ugg. So I'm thinking of some other options, maybe even going back to school. I dunno, but all this sitting around at home is driving me nuts.

:C Aw. Good luck! I lucked into the job I'm in now, but it doesn't pay well.

Just keep trying! And hey, if all fails and you can sell well, you can make decent money through Cutco. My cousin rakes in biiig money.

That's how my last job was, "lucked" into. Turned out to be decent and something I wanted to continue, but then she closed shop.

I thought about actually trying Cutco, but I'm just not good at hawking things.

I am having problems in that area as well. Have you tried a website called Craigslist. I mean there are some scams to look out for there, but overall I have found a lot more jobs posted there that are reliable then in the newspaper.

I'm in the EXACT same boat as you!! After being let go due to the recession in november, I'm out of a job ;__; It's dead boring. I'm thinking of going back to college... gonna be expensive though! Here's hoping!

Yeah, I'm seriously debating now going back to school and getting my Bachelors in Fine Arts. It'll be hard, but at least I might be able to get a good load? Maybe. I dunno.

well I'd encourage anyone to go back to college, especially during a recession, because by the time you're finished your degree the economy will be just getting on track again!

The only thing stopping me is that I've already recieved all state funding during my first degree attained, and they won't fund me for another one obviously. So, i'll have to pay fees and everything. So I don't really know what I'll end up doing!!

But, best of luck to us both!
